Rejoice In
His Unfailing Love!
And we have known and
believed the love that God
hath to us. God is love; and
he that dwelleth in love
dwelleth in God, and God in
him (1John 4:16).
The Master’s parable of the
prodigal son in Luke
15:11-32 reveals the
Father’s unconditional and
unfailing love. In that
story, after the prodigal
son had spent all his father
gave him on riotous living,
the Bible records that he
later fed on food given to
swine. One day, he suddenly
came to himself and decided
to go back to his father
(Luke 15:17-18).
As soon as his father saw
him from afar, he rushed out
to embrace him. The first
thing he told his father
was, “Forgive me,” and his
father did! This describes
the love nature of our
heavenly Father towards us.
Once you repent and say,
“Father, forgive me for what
I did wrong,” He is quick to
forgive because it’s His
nature to do so. The
prodigal son’s father killed
his “fatted calf” to
celebrate his lost son’s
return; an action that
paralleled God’s sacrifice
of His only Son, Jesus, for
our salvation.
When a believer who has
strayed from the truth
returns to God, He receives
him gladly and establishes
him in the right path. The
believer will not be
anything less in God’s hand;
God would place him in his
rightful place—an heir of
the kingdom. This is why as
a child of God, you should
take advantage of the
Father’s love; rejoice daily
in His love, for He loves
you unconditionally.
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, thank
you for your great love,
thank you for your kindness
and your mercies toward me;
they are from everlasting to
everlasting. I rejoice
exceedingly today, knowing
that your love for me is
unending and perfect. Help
me today, to manifest your
love to my world, in Jesus’
Name. Amen.
