ANCOR Advocates
Need for Anti-Corruption Units
Kogi State chapter of
Anti-Corruption Revolution (ANCOR)
has called on the federal and state
governments as well as the private
sector to establish anticorruption
departments in their establishments
in order to fight corruption.
ANCOR chairman, Mr. Idris Miliki
Abdul, who made the call to mark
International Anti-Corruption Day,
also called on stakeholders in the
country to form a collaborative
effort to fight corruption.
According to him, corruption has
been identified as the greatest
impediment to good governance and
development in Nigeria, noting that
most public and private resources
meant for public welfare had been
looted.
Mr. Miliki, who stated that about
65% Nigerians live in abject poverty
because of corruption, called on all
to collectively join hands to
mobilize and expose the danger and
effects of all corruptive tendencies
in the country.
