Gov. Saraki Sympathizes with The Sun
The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki has expressed sympathy with the management of The Sun Publishing Limited, Publishers of The Sun newspaper over the inferno that devastated its corporate headquarters in Kirikiri, Lagos.
Dr. Bukola Saraki in his sympathy message thanked God that no life was lost in the fire incident which lasted about four hours.
The governor advised the management of media organizations in the country to put in place modern fire-fighting services to avert unforeseen fire outbreaks, stressing that as information archives they should not allow regular occurrence of a disaster which would lead to immense loss of vital document.
In the unfortunate incident which destroyed properties worth billions of naira, he applauded the combined efforts of the organization’s fire service and the Lagos State Emergency Fire Service operatives who quickly came to curtail the incident.
The governor, however, prayed God for the quick recovery for all the casualties that were involved in the inferno so that the company could continue to render its social responsibility to the country.
