Lawmakers’ Community Projects
Governor Ibrahim Idris of Kogi
State has commenced inspection
and commissioning tour of
constituency projects embarked
upon by state legislators in the
Eastern Senatorial District of
the state.
The governor, while
commissioning four out of the
eight projects executed by Hon.
Emmanuel Omebije representing
Okura Constituency in the state
House of Assembly, charged
others to emulate his
developmental initiatives.
The projects commissioned
include two primary health care
clinics at Ogbogodo and Acharu
communities, a block of four
classrooms at Itama community
and a town hall and skill
acquisition centre at Olofu
community.
In his remark, Hon. Omebije
commended the governor for
enhancing the status of his
constituency, maintaining that
his projects were geared towards
complementing government’s
efforts in the area of health,
education and youth empowerment.
In a related development, a
block of 12 lock-up shops was
built and donated to members of
Idah community by Hon. Aduku
Ojodale as part of his
constituency projects.
Commissioning the projects
located at Idah Central Market,
governor Ibrahim Idris, appealed
to politicians to strive towards
justifying their mandates,
emphasizing that it is by so
doing that the people’s
confidence could be boosted to
elect those capable of
delivering dividends of
democracy.
In his statement, Hon. Ojodale
thanked the governor and people
of his constituency for giving
him the opportunity to serve
them and contribute his quota
towards the transformation of
his area.
