Landmarks Boost our Image –
Babadoko
The Executive Secretary of the
Kogi State Muslim Pilgrims
Welfare Board, Alhaji Suleiman
Mohammed Babadoko has
acknowledged that the
achievements of Governor Ibrahim
Idris has made it possible for
him and his people to walk tall
and in high spirit on the
streets of Lokoja.
Alhaji Babadoko declared that
there is no administration in
the state, whether military or
civilian, that was able to touch
the lives of the people directly
like Governor Idris’.
He explained that all areas of
infrastructural development that
were lacking in Lokoja before
the advent of this
administration has been touched
by Alhaji Idris. “Is it
education, housing, roads,
specialist hospital, New Market
or water? Any sector of the
economy you can think of has
been touched by Alhaji Idris and
we are happy, grateful and proud
to be associated with him”, he
affirmed.
Alhaji Babadoko who also is an
aspirant for Kogi State House of
Assembly in 2011 to represent
Lokoja I Constituency, is
optimistic of victory because he
said he has paid his dues to his
people and believes one good
turn deserves another.
Recalling the posts he has held
and his contributions to the
growth of Lokoja, Alhaji
Babadoko said he has been
actively involved in party
politics for 11 years during
which he has served as Ward
Executive of the Lokoja LGA and
now Executive Secretary of
Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
He said while occupying these
positions, he ensured that his
people enjoy many dividends of
democracy. According to him, he
played vital roles in appealing
and convincing Governor Idris to
fence the Moslem praying ground
at Felele-Lokoja, among others.
