Death Benefit:
Widow Sends SOS to Govt
A widow has appealed to relevant
authorities in Kogi State to pay
the death entitlement of her
husband and former staff of the
State House of Assembly,
Suleiman Aliu, who died a year
ago after a brief illness.
The widow, Mrs. Ozohu Aliu, made
the call in a chat with The
Graphic recently.
She stated that it has been very
difficult for her and the five
children her husband left
behind, adding that the children
have been sent out of school for
not being able to pay their
school fees.
Mrs. Aliu stressed further that
prompt payment of her late
husband’s death benefits would
go along way to boost their
economic status; and appealed to
the relevant body to come to
their aid to enable them cope
with present economic hardship.
Until his death, Suleiman Aliu
was an administrative staff of
the Kogi State House of
Assembly. He died at age of 40.
