 …Petition was a Distraction –Phrank

THE Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Public Communications and Strategy, Mr. Phrank Shaibu, has given insight into the consequences of engaging Governor Ibrahim Idris at Gubernatorial Election Tribunal since April 14 election, 2007.
Speaking to The Graphic shortly after the election of Governor Ibrahim Idris was upheld by Justice Abdullahi-led Tribunal that sat in High Court Complex, Lokoja, the spokesman of the Chief Executive of the State said, “Governor Idris is human, the frequency of engaging him at Election Tribunals by a man who is supposed to be his brother, is distractive and detrimental to the drive to fast-track the development of the state.”
Mr. Shaibu argued that only a superhuman would not be distracted and still concentrate on development, stressing that even as Governor Idris has landmark achievements, the distraction caused by Audu had from time to time, slowed down the speed at which the incumbent intends to fast-track development.
He, however, expressed joy that the victory had “liberated the people of Kogi State from shackles of slavery, poverty and dehumanization” which they were hitherto subjected to.
He maintained that “the sweetest part of the victory was that the Governor won the case on the five grounds that were determined,” stressing that “the preponderance of blackmail and lying preceding the ruling have been reduced to “shameful falsehood.”
Gleefully celebrating the victory, the media spokesman stated, “we are armed with a judgement that has given the government the impetus to continue to churn out the dividends of democracy in unprecedented quantum.”
The media aide who was characteristically blunt said, “we have just got the triumph of humility over tyranny. The Governor will go to work with drive and speed.
