NOA Warns
Youths on Drug Abuse
Youths in Nigeria have been
advised to shun drug abuse,
examination malpractices,
corruption in whatever form and
violence as well as resist any
attempt of being by politicians,
come 2011 general elections.
This is contained in a press
statement made available to The
Graphic by the Public Relations
Officer of the Agency, Patrick
Edogbanya.
The State Director, National
Orientation Agency (NOA), Chief
Ibikunle Medubi, made this plea
at the International Day against
Drug Abuse and Illicit
Trafficking organized by the
National Youths Council of
Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter,
held in Okene recently.
Medubi said the consequences of
violence especially by the
youths orchestrated through drug
abuse and illicit trafficking
can be devastating as it could
negatively affect socio-economic
and human development as well as
lead to wanton destruction of
lives and property.
The State Director urged
parents, governments, religious
and traditional organizations to
play their roles in stemming the
tide.
